SUFI RELIGION IN PANKISI

In the Pankisi valley town of Duisi every Friday morning Sufi Muslim women perform the dhikr ritual. It means “to remember'“ in Arabic. The idea of this ritual, which includes praying, chanting and dancing, is to appeal to peace rather than war.
