On June 20th 2019 large demonstrations broke out in front of the Georgian parliament.

Demonstrators tried to make their way in and were stopped by the police. Riot police were called in which brutally tried to disperse the crowds by massive use of tear- and CS gas and by shooting people, including journalists, indiscriminately with rubber bullets. Many people were injured and at least 2 people lost an eye.
